This video is about Peter Lobel, organizing fire truck donations to his hometown in South Africa. What encouraged him to do this was a really close friend of his died in a fire. His village did not have operating fire trucks at the time that could have possible saved his friend’s life. He said fuck it….what do we need to do? Get fire trucks there? Rounded up some buddies and drove fire trucks back to his village. How’s that for a ‘returning home’ story?
I never met Peter but he is the father of my good friends, Natalie and Jaqui. This was truly inspiring. He’s got spunk.
